This was it the Yule Ball lesson on how to dance.I already knew how to but hey it was going to be fun. Slughorn had decided instead of making us all learn one house by one that all the houses would learn together. I sat down in between Mrs and Ms. Watching as the boys sat on the other sides.
"Now that you are all here we shall learn that dancing is not just this.." as Slughorn saad thiis he did a little jive, which made us all laugh. "it is elegant and beautiful." he continued once the laughter had stopped. "Now I will pair you up... okay..." after a long list he said "Lily Evans and James Potter, Ebony Fudge and Sirius Black..." My heart was beating fast as those to complained "Venus Night and... Remus Lupin" Standing up I walked towards the dance floor, I dragged the other two with me. I stood next to Remus facing Slughorn who was pairing up the last of the Slytherins. "Okay now show me your best dancing..." He sighed.
Turning to face Remus, I smiled. Placing one hand on Remus' shoulder, and smirking when he placed his hand on my waist and took my other hand. Spinning around as though no one else was alive, there was just him and me.Then I heard my name.
"Venus." I gasped it was my sister Xena stood there tears in her eyes. Remus dropped his arms so I could leave quickly. |
